Stinkabell the Bog Fairy isn't your 'bog-standard' fairy. She lives in the Land on the Other Side of the Pillow where she spends her days splashing around with her friends in the stinky bog. But when she discovers that her parents have been kidnapped by the repulsive, creature crunching Bogsnufflers, she sets out on a mission to find the truth. Her search takes her to Human Land where she meets Dillon who helps her to solve the mystery. But it turns out to be a lot more complicated than either of them could ever have imagined.

This story will ignite children's imaginations and touches on important themes of bravery, human greed and not giving up when things get tough.

This is such a beautiful and imaginative story-a real page turner. My son (and I!!) enjoyed all the beautiful descriptions and illustrations. It’s also sparked my son’s imagination as he now keeps playing ‘Bogsnufflers!’ With his toys.

I enjoyed Stinkabell and the Bogsnufflers immensely. I think this text is inspirational, aspirational and educational for KS1&2 readers. I have devised a literacy project around the story for year 3 and I plan to roll it out annually.

The delightful world of the 'Land on the Other Side of the Pillow' is told brilliantly and will have your children wanting to read more. This story touches upon important concepts of perseverance, helping others and working together.

ABOUT ME

As a child, I loved to read fantasy stories, especially those about far away magical lands which really captured my imagination. As an adult I live with my husband, toddler son Joshua, chocolate labrador Charlie and tortoise Claude in Great Missenden, a leafy village in Buckinghamshire where Roald Dahl lived and worked.

This further inspired me to write my own children's adventure story featuring an unlikely heroine from the Land on the Other Side of the Pillow.

I have also written the 'I Wish' books which aim to help communication between parents who are unwell and their young children. All profit from these book go to charity.
